November 5th Announcements
CHRISMONS: If you would like to help make Chrismon ornaments for the church Christmas tree, please join us at church on November 9th at either 2:00pm or 6:30pm to learn how to make them. These ornaments involve stringing gold and pearl beads on wire, so all ages are welcome to join. Please contact Cheryl Dee with any questions.
MUSIC RECITAL: Joshua Feldt has been invited to play at an organ recital Saturday, November 13th at 1:30pm on the Iowa State Campus in Ames. You are welcome and invited to attend “Scandinavian Organ Music” held in Martha Ellen Tye Music Hall, ISU organ studio of Dr. Miriam Zach. More information here
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are looking ahead to 2022 and need people to help in a few important areas around the church. Below are highlights of some volunteer opportunities; more details are posted in the narthex and on the church website. Additional questions may be directed to Kathryn Feldt.
Alter Guild: We have had a few Alter Guild members ‘retire’ this year & need to add to the ranks. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve in church.
Filming: This role involves running the camera in the balcony & is usually scheduled once per month. No experience needed; training will be provided.
Streaming Tech: This person works in the balcony at the laptop that controls the streaming of our divine services. The job requires someone comfort with using computer. Training is provided. Time commitment includes streaming once a month & arriving 20min before the service you are streaming.
Greeter: Greeters are scheduled about once per month.
Announcements: This role types & prints weekly announcements for month.
Driver: We coordinate rides for members who cannot drive to church on their own. For details, see Ceci Johnson.
Counters: Scheduled monthly, assists treasurer counting offerings.
