SERVING FELLOWSHIP NEXT WEEK: I. Allen & A. Harper
ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK:

Fri & Sat – Men’s Outing
CONTRACT RUMMY ANYONE? We have Fellowship this coming Friday beginning at 6 p.m. Enjoy an exciting game of Contract Rummy. Bring a snack or two to share with the group.
MEN’S OUTING: The men of Holy Cross will have a get-together on this Friday, October 17th and 18th that will include food and fellowship, with optional camping overnight and time at the range in the morning. Speak to Lance Nath or Jim Skinner if you are interested in attending.
ALTAR FLOWERS: We have openings on the Flower Calendar for someone to provide donations for altar flowers on Reformation Sunday, October 26. Please sign up if you wish to make a donation.
CHILI COOKOFF: will be Sunday, Oct 26th following Bible study. Stay to try delicious soup and chili and vote for your favorite. Locate the sign-up sheet if you would like to submit a soup/chili or provide bread or a dessert.
FALL CLEANING DAY: We will gather on Saturday, Oct 25th to do some fall cleaning around the church. If it is raining, we will meet on Nov 1st instead.
REFORMATION VESPERS: The churches of the East and West Des Moines Circuits are invited to Trinity for a celebration of the Reformation on Sunday, October 26th! The service will begin at 4p.m. and will feature sacred choral music and our guest preacher, the Rev. Christopher Maronde, who serves on the Board of Regents for Luther Classical College in Casper, Wyoming. Stay afterwards for a soup potluck meal and a presentation from Pastor Maronde on classical Lutheran Education. The evening's offering will go to benefit Luther Classical College. Please call Trinity's office (515-279-3609) if you would like to bring food to share or sing in the choir. We look forward to celebrating the Reformation together!
