DATE CHANGE: The July council meeting has been moved from the 13th to the 20th
CHURCH COOKOUT: Please join us for a church cookout at the shelter next Sunday, July 13th. Bring your own meat for grilling and a dish or two to share.
SUE LIGHT RETIRING: Sue Light has been the Administrative Assistant for IDW for 46 years. She retires at the end of July. If you would like to send her a card, the address is: Sue Light, 409 Kenyon Rd Suite B, Fort Dodge, Iowa 50501.
NATHAN HAS GRADUATED: Nathan Federwitz, a missionary who has visited our congregation, has now graduated from Pre-Field Orientation and is a fully certified JAARS pilot. He will continue to train in the plane he will be flying in Papua New Guinea. The family hopes to be able to move overseas in November.
ACELC DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS: Holy Cross is hosting this year's ACELC Conference on July 15-16. As the host congregation, we agree to provide and serve some of the meals and snacks. There are signup sheets for food donations as well as volunteering. Right after church on July 13, we need volunteers to help with setup as well as taking out trash and restocking the bathrooms. Contact Ceci Johnson with any questions.
TE DEUM HYMN FESTIVAL: will be held Sunday, July 27th at 3 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. The event will feature performances by the Rev. Alex Post, and our own organists James Ikenberry and Jeremiah Bolin. Also, Kathryn Feldt will direct the festival's choir. Refreshments will be served!
